MakoStack enables anyone to create and publish web applications. To keep our platform safe and trustworthy, all apps must comply with this Content Policy. Violations may result in your app being taken offline or your account being suspended.

Prohibited Content

The following types of content are strictly prohibited on MakoStack:

Pornographic content: Sexually explicit material

Doxxing: Publishing private personal information without consent
Impersonation: Pretending to be another person or organization
Fraud and scams: Deceptive schemes designed to defraud users
Phishing: Attempts to steal credentials or personal information
Malware: Apps that contain or distribute malicious software
Spam: Unsolicited bulk messaging or deceptive practices
Copyright infringement: Using copyrighted material without permission
Trademark violations: Misusing trademarks or brand identities
Counterfeit goods: Selling or promoting fake products
Regulated products: Illegal drugs, unregistered pharmaceuticals, weapons
Gambling: Unlicensed gambling or betting services
Multi-level marketing: Pyramid schemes or deceptive MLM promotions

Restricted Content

The following content is allowed with restrictions:

Adult-oriented businesses: Must be legal, clearly labeled, and not contain explicit imagery
Alcohol and tobacco: Must comply with applicable laws and include age verification
Medical/health claims: Must not make false or unsubstantiated claims
Financial services: Must comply with applicable regulations
Political content: Must not contain misinformation or incite violence

Thin Affiliate Sites

MakoStack does not permit thin affiliate sites. These are sites that:

Lack substantial original content
Exist primarily to redirect users through affiliate links
Provide minimal value beyond promoting affiliate products
Are created using automated content generation solely for affiliate marketing

We encourage users to create high-quality, original content that provides real value to their audiences.

Intellectual Property

Respect the intellectual property rights of others:

Only use content (text, images, logos) that you own or have permission to use
Do not copy other websites or apps without authorization
Properly attribute content when required
Respond promptly to any IP complaints

Enforcement

How We Enforce

Manual review: Our team reviews reported content
Automated detection: We use automated systems to detect policy violations
User reports: We investigate reports from users and third parties

Actions We May Take

Warning: Notify you of the violation and request changes
Content removal: Remove specific content that violates the policy
App offline: Take your app offline until the issue is resolved
Account suspension: Temporarily or permanently suspend your account
Legal action: Report illegal content to law enforcement

Appeal Process

If your app is taken offline and you believe this was done in error:

Review this Content Policy to understand why the action was taken
Update your app to comply with the policy
Contact us at support@makostack.app to request a review
Provide details about the changes you made

We will review your request and, if the issue is resolved, restore your app.
